Kedarnatha Trek

The Kedarkantha trek is perfect for young students stepping into the Himalayas for the first time. The trek offers stunning 360 degree view of famous mountain summits. This trek has the prettiest campsites in the Himalayas. The drive to Kedarkantha base camp takes you through Mussoorie, Nowgaon, Purola, Mori and Naitwar. It is a remote route so exquisite that it is one of the most beautiful drives in the Indian Himalayas.

DETAILED ITINERARY

Arrival in Sankri

Arrive in Dehradun. From Dehradun, you will be transferred to Sankri, which is the starting point of the trek. The drive to the village will take you through beautiful valleys and forest covers. Dinner and overnight at the local guest house in Sankri.

Sankri to Juda Ka Taal (9000 FT, 5 Kms trek)

Today begin our trek from Sankri to Juda Ka Taal. The trail starts in a beautiful pine forest, just a short 10 mins walk away from the village. The gradient of the trail is easy, ascending all the way to Juda Ka Tal campsite. As you gain altitude, you'll start seeing the beautiful Himalayan ranges in the background. By late afternoon we will be at our campsite. Camp overnight at Juda Ka Taal.

Juda ka Taal to Kedarkantha Base Camp (11,200 FT, 4 Kms trek)

Our first stop today would be Juda Ka Tal, a lake surrounded by pine forests, that freezes during winters. You can easily walk on the ice sheet on the lake or try gliding on it and it is an absolutely thrilling experience. It should take you about 2-3 hours to reach your next campsite, which is absolutely stunning. At night, the snow-clad mountain peaks shine bright as the moon, and you will clearly see Kedarkantha from your campsite. Camp overnight at Kedarkantha base camp

Kedarkantha Base Camp - Kedarkantha - Hargaon

Today we trek before sunrise to Kedarnatha. As the sun rises, you'll see dramatic show of colors in the sky and the transformation leaves you speechless. Admire the 360 degree views of the majestic Himalayas surrounding you. We will head to Hargaon campsite after lunch. Camp overnight at Hargaon.

Hargaon - Sankri - Dehradun

Wake up early morning to catch the sunrise at your last super gorgeous campsite and make your back to Sankri. We will walk in a pine forest throughout the way and will get an aerial view of the neighboring villages. After a short break at Sankri, our trek concludes as we connect you from Sankri to Dehradun.
